Starting last season, there were important changes to the divisions at the majority of the competitions. The most dramatic change is that divisions are now determined by AGE as well as grade in school. Your "competition age" for the entire season is determined by how old you are by August 31. (In other words, if you are 16 on August 31, then you are "16" for that entire season, even if your birthday comes during the year.) This prevents athletes from losing their eligibility for a particular team in the middle of competition season.

Northern Elite will follow these guidelines while selecting teams for the 2006-2007 season. Teams may be merged or split depending on enrollment.

Northern Elite practices range from team to team. Most of our teams have 2 hours of tumbling a week, and an additional 4-6 hours of cheer practice. Practice schedules and times vary depending on the team. Please contact us for more information.
